28 januari 2012; Tata Steel Chess and Studies Day
The third international Tata Steel Chess and Studies Day will be held on Saturday, January 28th 2012 in De Moriaan in Wijk aan Zee (Netherlands) as part of Tata Steel chess tournament and in collaboration with ARVES. Chief Arbiter: Luc Palmans. Former solving world champions GMs John Nunn and Piotr Murdzia have already confirmed their participation.
Here is the time-table:
10:00- 10.30: Registration
10.45: Official opening
11.00 - 14.00: International Open Solving Competition of original studies with a prize fund of 750 Euros and book prizes. Special prizes will be awarded to the best newcomers and youth solvers.
14.00 - 17.00: Watching live the penultimate round of the world’s most famous chess tournaments with GM commentary.
17.30: Prize giving and presentation of the solutions.
Entry fee: 15 Euros; juniors (u-20) 10 Euros; GMs and IMs – free.

Nederland gaat het ISC organiseren op zondag 29 januari tijdens het Tata-toernooi, zie deze pagina.
Vrijdag 23 maart t/m 25 maart 2012 - 18e Nunspeetweekend.
Het Nunspeet-problemistenweekend zal in 2012 net als vorg jaar gehouden worden in hotel Dennenhoeve, Elspeterweg 14, 8071 PA Nunspeet, tel. 0341-260106 (dus niet in hotel Veldenbos). Hotel Dennenhoeve ligt op loopafstand van het treinstaton. De kosten op basis van volpension (2x overnachting met ontbijt, 2x lunch, 2x diner en zaalhuur) bedragen €137,50 per persoon (excl. De gemeentelijke heffingen a €1 per persoon per nacht). Een extra overnachting (met ontbijt) kost €50 per persoon. Er is weer de mogelijkheid om zondagavond met een diner (€23,50 per persoon) gezamenlijk het weekend af te sluiten.
Op zaterdag 24 maart is er ’s morgens van 10:00 – 13.15 uur het Open Nederlands Oploskampioenschap en wordt ’s middags de voorjaarsvergadering gehouden (zie speciale pagina). Aankomst vanaf vrijdagmiddag 14:00 uur, vertrek zondagmiddag 17:00 uur of na het gezamenlijk diner.

In 2012 the Nunspeet weekend of the Dutch Chess Problemists Society will take place at Hotel Dennenhoeve, Elspeterweg 14, 8071 PA Nunspeet, from Friday 23th - Sunday 25th March. The Dutch Open Solving Championship will be held on Saturday 24th March from 10:00 - 13:15 hrs. In the afternoon the Society’s annual spring meeting will be held. Our foreign members, as well as any other interested problemists are kindly invited to participate. Price rate for the weekend: full board € 137,50 per person for two nights. An extra night in the hotel costs € 50 (B&B) per person. It is possible to conclude the weekend together on Sunday evening with an optional dinner (costs € 23,50). The hotel Dennenhoeve is situated in the vicinity of the Nunspeet railway station.

Vrijdag 13 april t/m maandag 16 april 2012 - BCPS Residential weekend
Het jaarlijkse weekend van de Britisch Chess Problem Society wordt in 2012 gehouden in het Hinton Firs Hotel, 9 Manor Road, Bournemouth BH1 3ET. Het hotel ligt op 10 minuten lopen van het treinstation in Bournemouth. De prijs voor drie nachten volpension verblijf is £185 per persoon in een eenpersoonskamer of een gedeelde tweepersoonskamer, en £215 voor één persoon alleen in een tweepersoonskamer.
